Discover the white sand beaches, coconut palm trees, and crystalline waters of an untouched Caribbean island. A short sail by catamaran or speed boat ride takes you to uninhabited Saona Island, famous for the natural beauty of its beaches, where you can relax in the beach chairs provided or enjoy on-beach activities, merengue dancing, and Caribbean music. Quench your thirst at the open bar serving water, sodas and national brand liquor and feast on the delicious Dominican buffet lunch. To top-off a day of fun, visit Palmilla Beach, a natural off-shore sandbar where you can swim, snorkel and marvel at the numerous indigenous starfish in the waist deep shallows.
The tour begins with a short stroll through La Romana, the closest town to Casa de Campo, on your way to Las Maravillas Cave, the West Indies“ first natural museum of Rupestrian artwork, located inside a 100,000 year old cave. Visitors have a chance to learn about the caves extraordinary geological formations and the history of the pictographs left by the native Taino Indians that lived here before the arrival of Christopher Columbus.
Take the wheel of these off-road vehicles and discover the Dominican culture with us. We visit the sugarcane fields to learn about the harvest while refreshing ourselves with cool drinks. Race through the countryside as we make our way to the Chavon River for a swim. Finally, visit a ranch in "Gato" where we enjoy fresh native fruit and shop for souvenirs. Minimum age 6 years old.
