Learn MoreFrom November through May, the Scuola della Vela teaches individual sailing lessons to adults and children 12 years of age or older---great for family bonding or a group team building experience---from their base at the Casa de Campo Marina. The school is open to all and maintains the highest standards in education and equipment. Scuola della Vela is considered the foremost authority for sailing enthusiasts at the renowned Costa Smeralda. Directed by Franco Piston, a national instructor FIV, the school has been teaching sailing at Costa Smeralda since 1978, assisted by respected national instructors and sailing experts. The dive sites are 5 to 30 minutes away by boat and typically range from 30 to 100 feet deep with a range of difficulty for all divers. This region is one of the most spectacular diving destinations in the world due to the beautiful weather, calm seas and underwater visibility of 100 plus feet year round. Incredible coral reefs, mangrove forests, rocky coasts, sandy beaches, subtropical forests, and sea-grass beds are among its fragile ecosystems.
