Looking to purchase some fashionable new clothing for your next trip to the Dominican Republic? After looking at what the world’s top designers have in mind for Spring 2016, here are our four favorite trends that you’ll likely see both on and off the resort:

Shake it Off – the Shoulder

The off the shoulder trend is hot, hot, hot and is perfect for showing off that beautifully tanned skin. What’s also great about this trend, is that it’s incredibly versatile and can suit any woman’s style, from sweet boho-chic peasant tops, to a bolder halter style as seen in Proenza Schouler’s Spring 2016 show.

Orange Is The New Black

Bright and beautiful shades of orange appeared on the runways of Jil Sander, Narcisso Rodriguez, Derek Lam and more. This bold hue also made an appearance in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition, in this photo taken right here at Casa De Campo.

Pleased By Pleats

Pleated dresses, pants and tops were all over the Fashion Week runways this year, and Ex Machina’s Alicia Vikander landed on all the Best Dressed lists after wearing a stunning white pleated Louis Vuitton dress at the Golden Globes.

Under the Half Moon

For good reason, beach bags are always popular in the Dominican Republic, but if you’re looking for a more refined purse for the evening hours, half-moon shaped bags were a popular runway accessory this season, and we expect to see more of this trend as the year continues. While Victoria Beckham started the trend, you’ll now find inspired half-moon bags in your favorite shops. They can hold a lot, so it’s the perfect carry-on handbag for your flight down to the Dominican.

Happy Packing!
