Frequent and seasoned travelers agree that packing light is the best way to go. With more airline regulations and protocols in place, reducing your luggage to the minimum becomes a practical choice to make your journey as convenient as possible. When coming to Casa de Campo, there are many things you don’t need to bring, as they will be readily available for you.

Cash

Say goodbye to carrying a lot of cash—use your room card to sign at our signature restaurants and bars, and to book activities inside the resort. Additionally, due to COVID-19 restrictions, cashless payments are preferred at most of our points of sale. All major credit cards are widely accepted at stores, other restaurants and bars, supermarkets, and sports facilities. However, in case you really need cash there are two ATM machines at the resort’s central area and two more at Altos de Chavón. Also, at the Marina, you can find 5 different national banks for additional transactions.

Toiletries

All bathrooms at rooms and villas are equipped with various high-end toiletries such as liquid soap, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion. For extra comfort, bathrobes and slippers are available for all guests to use inside the room or villa.

Water

Even though tap water is not drinkable in the Dominican Republic, you don’t need to bring your own. Every day, each guest receives two bottles of water at their room or villa. All restaurants and bars will provide you with other water brands for your enjoyment.

Baby food and diapers

Unless your children need to consume a very specific brand or type, you don’t need to carry countless packages of food or formula, much less disposable diapers, which take up so much space in your luggage. Inside the property, you have at your disposal a complete supermarket that offers the most recognized brands for personal use and, if they do not have it, the city of La Romana is just a few minutes away and your Concierge can do that for you.

Children playing at MinitasGolf equipment

Look, we are not suggesting you leave your favorite clubs at home, but if you must travel light know that we will have you covered with everything you might need for your game. At our Pro Shop, you will find clothing items for men, women, and children, activewear, shoes, accessories, golf bags, barware, and more. You can even personalize some of your new findings with an embroidered logo!

If you still can’t even consider facing Teeth of the Dog® without your favorite and loyal clubs, have them delivered to Casa de Campo, using our convenient and affordable door-to-door shipping service for your golf clubs and luggage.

Living in the tropics has its advantages: we are used to dealing with pesky insects. Therefore, you can find a wide variety of options at your local pharmacy and grocery store.
