Mark your calendars
Mark your calendars: Teeth of the Dog® will undergo a full restoration in 2025
Teeth of the Dog® is regarded as one of the best golf courses in the world and the #1 course in the Caribbean. Since its opening in 1971, this masterful Pete Dye golf course has drawn players in from across the globe to enjoy its impressive design, dramatic challenges, and the stunning views of the famous “Heaven 7” holes by the shore of the Caribbean Sea. The course features railroad ties, vast waste areas, peninsula greens, and tees, hand-sculpted putting surfaces, and a unique assortment of pot bunkers.
To be overseen by Jerry Pate Design
Throughout 2025, this iconic golf course will be undergoing a full restoration and will be closed to the public. The project, led by Jerry Pate Design, will begin on January 2025, and includes a modernization of the course with cosmetic enhancements to tees, fairways, and greens, a complete re-grassing with Dynasty Paspalum, an ideal grass for seaside courses, and improved paths, bunkers, and contours.
We're excited for the future
Although Teeth of the Dog will be missed during the year, avid golfers will have the opportunity to fall in love with two other golf gems at the best luxury golf resort in the Caribbean. Dye Fore, known as “the most underrated course in the Caribbean”, offers 27 dramatic holes across 3 distinctive nines, boasting cliffside holes above the Chavón River, breathtaking views of the Marina and the Caribbean Sea, and rugged terrains surrounded by lakes. On the other hand, The Links offers a more traditional golfing experience with a graceful layout full of hills, lagoons, and tall grass surrounding bunkers and waste areas.
Teeth of the Dog’s reopening is set for December 2025. In Casa de Campo we’re already excited to see how this exceptional course will reach a new level while staying true to Dye’s vision.
